Artist's Description
I captured this image of the famous Taughannock Falls on a rainy autumn day. Using a tripod and slowing down the shutter speed, I was able to blur the motion of the water to give the sense of movement. The waters from the falls flow into Cayuga Lake, one of the beautiful Finger Lakes in Western NY state.
About Mindy Musick King
I have long enjoyed traveling with my husband across the United States to photograph and enjoy wildlife and nature. A retired elementary school teacher, I hold a masters degree in Arts Integration. My retirement from teaching means more time to spend photographing the wildlife and landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the American West. Sharing the stories of the wild mustangs of the west is a particular passion of mine. To spend time photographing wild horses is a dream come true. Recently, we moved to Bella Vista in NW Arkansas.
