One lone sunflowers raises its head above the crowd, reminding us that it is good to be unique and true to oneself. Sunflowers are known as the "Happy Flower." Their ray-like petals mimic the sun and it's energy. Sunflowers are said to represent adoration, loyalty, and longevity. Sunflowers will be joy and happiness to your home, and will make the perfect gift for a friend or loved one. Photographed on the Eastern Plains of Colorado.

I have long enjoyed traveling with my husband across the United States to photograph and enjoy wildlife and nature. A retired elementary school teacher, I hold a masters degree in Arts Integration. My retirement from teaching means more time to spend photographing the wildlife and landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the American West. Sharing the stories of the wild mustangs of the west is a particular passion of mine. To spend time photographing wild horses is a dream come true. Recently, we moved to Bella Vista in NW Arkansas. The Ozark Region is rich with history and photo opportunities. It has opened up a whole new area to explore that I am excited to share through my images.
