The wild, palomino pinto stallion, known as Meteor, shares a long cool drink from the water hole on a hot day. It was such a thrill to be able to watch these two sparring one minute and sharing a drink the next. Bachelor stallions form tight bonds with their friends. Meteor is a favorite among the followers of the Sand Wash Basin mustangs in Colorado. This image was my most-liked image on Instagram in 2019, was featured in my 2020 Wild Mustang Calendar, and hangs on the wall in several collector's homes.

I have long enjoyed traveling with my husband across the United States to photograph and enjoy wildlife and nature. A retired elementary school teacher, I hold a masters degree in Arts Integration. My retirement from teaching means more time to spend photographing the wildlife and landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the American West. Sharing the stories of the wild mustangs of the west is a particular passion of mine. To spend time photographing wild horses is a dream come true. Recently, we moved to Bella Vista in NW Arkansas.
