These two mountain goat kids are getting ready for winter. On this early September dawn the wind was howling and the temperatures were well below freezing, but these young goat weren't phased in the least! Photographed at the summit of Mount Evans, high in Colorado's Rocky Mountains.

I have long enjoyed traveling with my husband across the United States to photograph and enjoy wildlife and nature. A retired elementary school teacher, I hold a masters degree in Arts Integration. My retirement from teaching means more time to spend photographing the wildlife and landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the American West. Sharing the stories of the wild mustangs of the west is a particular passion of mine. To spend time photographing wild horses is a dream come true. Recently, we moved to Bella Vista in NW Arkansas.
