Artist's Description
On this early morning at the summit of Mount Evans the wind was howling and the temperatures were well below freezing. I stepped behind the wall of a historic structure to try to check my camera settings. This curious Mountain Goat followed behind me. As I turned, the wind almost blew me off my feet, and this sure footed goat seemed to smile in amusement. Watch Your Step was photographed at the summit of Mount Evans, high in Colorado's Rocky Mountains.
About Mindy Musick King
I have long enjoyed traveling with my husband across the United States to photograph and enjoy wildlife and nature. A retired elementary school teacher, I hold a masters degree in Arts Integration. My retirement from teaching means more time to spend photographing the wildlife and landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the American West. Sharing the stories of the wild mustangs of the west is a particular passion of mine. To spend time photographing wild horses is a dream come true.
